ArTeMAS, where Art and History meet Medicine and Health Technology

ARTEMAS (Archivio Tematico Museale  per la storia delle Arti Sanitarie) goal is to support the historical study of all matters related to the history of bio-medical  sciences. It is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the University of Bari, Italy- named after Aldo Moro, a politician past prime minister and professor during the XX century.

The theoretical concept of ARTEMAS was developed by Professor Alfredo Musajo-Somma, a plastic surgeon and medical history lecturer, a commitment with History of Science Seminar – Interuniversity Research Centre.

ARTEMAS will assist improving communication between individuals and professional groups throughout the world and promoting the teaching and distribution of the knowledge in history of medicine.
